In the beginning…

Intros are powerful. Not because of clichéd first impressions but for the anticipation building. Beginnings are full of possibility. I love the middle bits, the choruses, the hooks, the story in the verses. But it’s the intro that gets the hairs on my neck prickling, my spine straightening. That heart in your throat thing when you know (or hope) what’s about to come, to be. We spend a lifetime looking forward, dreaming up our future in our present. A good intro holds you at that tipping point for a perfect few seconds, waiting to fall…
